Stardate Negative (+ Romwe Giveaway!)

2012. Looks like a sci-fi date. I'm half waiting to hear Jean-Luc Picard's voice boom over some loud speaker, "Captian's log, stardate 9529.1." And because I'm a nerdy Trekkie (yes, I love Star Trek), I actually just looked up a "stardate calculator" to determine what today's stardate is. Sadly, I ended up with a negative number, which left me feeling rather deflated and mad old-school. So much for the modern era... I suppose it means that in Star Trek terms, we're pretty much in the stone age. So ooga booga, I'm moving on with this conversation before I completely scare you away.

And look! No eyeliner! At first, I felt a little facially naked, but now I've gotten used to it. Plus, I really like the whole dark- lipstick/Lydia-Deetz-smudgy-eyeshadow look. I'm also in love with this dress with its '90s crew-neck neckline and crochet-lace overlay. I've actually worn it twice over the span of the past two weeks, once with this outfit you see here to go out for Christmas brunch with my family, and another time sort of "dressed-down" with my Docs to go shopping in the city. It was sent to me by Chonie over at Electric Frenchie; she was so sweet and friendly. She'd said she wanted to see what I could do with it; apparently a whole hell of a lot! It's one of those pieces that give me a lot of ideas. So she's chosen wisely I'd say; methinks you'll be seeing it again on here....
